  1. Man, freeloaders in a free game are the worst… That’s why I pirated Apex Legends

  2. When Bruce comes back is there going to be more my boyfriend with Rahul

  3. They should’ve held it on 8chan.

  4. Developer tries to fight the Internet

The Internet: How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?

    • Maybe I’m just an old man yelling at a cloud, but $18 for one skin seems like a piss poor apology

    • I am a 3D artist, i know how to create all kinds of assets with textures, shaders and all that. What pisses me off is that these prices stand in no relation to their production cost. Depending on the complexity of the item the production costs are varying between 100 to 1000 bucks. A couple of hours or a couple of days.

The first 10-40 customers pay the production costs and then its all profit from there on…. It’s incredibly greedy, they could sell these for 3 to 5 bucks and still make a a lot of money.

    • @Den9789 Yh but when a single skin is more expensive that the battle pass that gives you 4 skins something is wrong

    • @Den9789 Dude I just feel that if we let them do this once they will raise the prices for other things

    • @Den9789 Just because its free to play doesn’t mean they get a free pass for charging as much as they want for items. There has to be middle ground, which before this event there was considering that no one was complaining before this and Apex was still incredibly successful

  5. They want this game to die allready so they can start working on titanfall3, its all a genius plan

    • @Christopher Vaughan I just wouldn’t support those practices then. If that price point sucks (which it does) ignore it like I did. Never saw why anyone feels as if they need to buy useless in-game items in order to keep it relevent yet here we are 2019. And obviously I’d prefer if it was lower prices as well as being allowed to use my thousands of hero currency I’ve amassed over a couple months instead. I just dont know what would be solved at lower price points as people would still not buy this stuff.

I also think the devs have a right to call people out if sending death threats just as people have them for price gouging.

    • Respawn: *Oh yeah. It’s all coming together.*

    • Another Anthem lol

    • Christopher Vaughan

@K.G.Whiz sorry about the novel… I’m on the computer now haha

    • Should’ve just, you know, finished work on Star Wars, and started work on TF3 already.

  6. I’m sure this will be GREAT for Jedi: Fallen Order’s sales.

    • Alpha A flop you say? A real flop is to have little to no community, which 8 to 10 million people a week isn’t falling into that. Nonetheless you’re talking about Season 1 and they are rarely no issues in a season especially in the 1st one.

    • @Chris Klos bro ea says all their games are doing well, they even say that about anthem and we all know that’s a lie lol

    • Alpha Data doesn’t lie though. Its like how some have tried to say Fortnite and CoD are dying. In reality EA isn’t MS.

Whats up with the Anthem “hate”? Granted I have yet to touch it but its mostly fabricated hate. Some were way too high expectations and stupid “drama” from ME3. Its mostly Internet drama these days fabricating controversies out of nowhere., which is all over the industry from Indie to AAA.

    • @Chris Klos anthem is a buggy hollow mess that had nothing to offer from what was shown. There’s no public info on player count only what companies say and what the view count on places like twitch and other streamers platforms.

    • Alpha Huh? Games are rarely bug free especially when they’re open world, RPGs, or both. It also doesn’t matter on whether a game is Singleplayer or Multiplayer based. Every game is complained these days especially when a game is Multiplayer. If you want to critique then critique not overreact. Done crying wolf?

  7. you know what will be around in 10 years? Inside Gaming. hosted by the dead pixel. 😉

  8. Get off my game you godamn freeloaders!

  9. I don’t think you covered the orginal controversy that lead to the ama well.. They wanted $170 for an axe skin.

    • @I KILL COWS 573 1) Because you can only acquire them through paying
      2) Because other games offers a lot more than what this event offers
      3) Because others games being shitty doesn’t justify this game being shitty

    • @Francisco Petrucci Actually if I want to enjoy having the skin then I do NEED to pay money for it

    • $170 and a chance to get the axe

    • Ok….don’t buy it?

    • @Nate Harris Repeating “Wow you’re so wrong, you’re so wrong” is not a counterargument. The consumer has every right to complain. You may not like it, but you’ll have to deal with it. You can deny the negative sides of overpriced micro-transactions all you want. You may not be affected by it, but who are you to say others aren’t? The truth is if people feel like they’re being screwed over or ignored, you’re gonna get backlash. You can call them entitled all you want, that’s not gonna change how they feel or react in the future. You need a good argument for that. And I guess you’re right about sarcasm going over my head because I have no idea what you’re on about. But I’d love for you to elaborate, oh mighty god of logic and reasoning.

  10. 3:08 Lawrence gasping and saying “how dare you!” is my new favorite meme worthy reaction.

  11. the real news here is that IG (or at least one person on staff) recognizes the Mega Man/ Sonic comic crossover as the masterpiece it is

  12. Never I have heard the term “freeloader” used in a positive manner. Poor choice of words for sure.

    • @Animelytical It is *exceedingly* insecure and sensitive to read something negative into an obvious tongue-in-cheek remark. It really doesn’t matter how you feel, or what offends you, as all that matters is the context in which they used the word. There are plenty of contexts where “freeloader” can be joking or sarcastic. One of those times is when your fanbase plays a free-to-play game, and thus one can make a joke about people who play it but don’t pay anything. They’re playing up the free part, thus being freeloaders, as in a play on words.

Just because you’ve never heard people use negative remarks in jokes, or in joking ways, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen, or that one can suddenly act more offended than necessary. Humor exists, and is often part of conversation. Plus, people who don’t spend money on a F2P game, still draw in their friends and others to play it, and some of them will spend money. That’s how free games work, they rely on people drawing in others who will hopefully get hooked. There’d be no reason for them to be bothered by players who don’t spend money, because they draw in others who do spend money.

    • Honestly, that’s how I saw it, too.
We can’t express jokes & sarcasm on the internet, so I hear multiple voices in my head reading the words in various ways.

    • @obyone878 Honestly, “(and we love that!)” kinda makes sound more sarcastic.

    • @obyone878 Yeah, but it’s a bit of a passive-aggressive jab. “Hey, we love you, though we don’t make any money from you, ya bunch of freeloaders – haha!”

  13. Don't Dox me Google

    Respawn: Makes a fun game
EA: Hey whadda ya have there kid?

    • @Xx360rapidz yeah no. If you want to say something just say it. Respawn was already under EA when apex legends came out. That’s not even opinion that’s just a fact.

    • Mister What Zit Tooya

@Aufinator He was talkin about Respawn made the game independently without EA. Then after it got popular, EA barged in with its *monetisation plans*, if you will.

    • @Mister What Zit Tooya it’s a f2p title it always had a monetisation plan. Thank you for actually just saying it though

    • @Aufinator Except compare the plan at the beginning to what we have now. What started off as a reasonably priced system became overpriced mess of a system

    • @Diedkid 145 maybe that was always the plan. Can’t argue that the current microtransactions in apex is shitty though.

  14. 3:09 i want this reaction printed and framed and hanging on my wall

  15. My favorite response on reddit was the top replay to that “I remember when people wernt dicks” comment. The reply was “Was that before developers charged $220 for an in game axe?” ?

  16. To be fair, most of those REALLY vitriolic comments have more down than upvotes

  17. The “cardinal sin” guy, needs to get out of the basement.

    • Personal, you sir, you just got personal.

    • My basement you say, good sir? Ill have you know I live in a KINGDOM with my doggo pupper and le wife (and her boyfriend). Perhaps you don’t understand the magnitude of this serious offense, kind strangerino. You have insulted GAMERS, my good sir, GAMERS.
Most importantly, REDDIT gamers. We will hunt you down like the Boston Bombers.

Edit: OMG A GOLD?! THANK YOU KIND STRANGERINO!!

Edit2-Electric Boogaloo: OMMMGGGGG PLATINUM? NOW I HAVE TO TELL LE WIFEY! SHES GOING TO BE SO HAPPY!!!!!!

    • HAHAHAHA REDDIT MOMENT

  18. Wait are the skins pay to win or am I missing something?

  19. I grinded the 25K Damage one in Solo, got a pack.. Opened it..

    Got a Octane Banner..

  20. @Levi Harris-Hale “Ancient kingdoms”, lmao. And I agree.

  21. Like, I get that developers aren’t supposed to act personal about it and say stupid shit, but yikes, talk about an overreaction. People acted as if the developers committed an act of treason and the punishment would be hanging.

  22. it was instant copypasta

  23. You know what the most gamer thing I have read? This gay ass comment.
