That looks like a decent game. I hope they will come out of Early Access as a great game.
Not my cup of tea, but it’s nice to see a real game on Steam!
Looks like an awesome cart racer that needs a few tweaks (for example, “the shortcut” or how the cars bump into each other), but what it needs most of all is to be named “All Starfruit Racing”.
I think it speaks well of a game’s AI and consistency of rules/physics when your reaction is not “The computer is a cheating bastard”, but is instead “What an asshole!”.
What anti-aliasing is that game using? Aside from the stupidly strong motion blur, seems like its using some early version of FXAA or even TAA. It looks blurry as fuck!
Are we all just going to ignore the fact that they have a Watermelon character in a Fruit themed Game?…Ya’know..cuz watermelon IS A VEGETABLE!!!
That aside though, I like how this Game takes it’s vehicle physics straight from Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing but I think all the vehicles look too similar, they all have the same basic shape.
Fuck game mechanics and lore tidbits like Skyrim, we are getting EDUCATED in this game.
This game is just peachy.
Since Jim mentioned the tires, I might as well explain: The tires on these vehicles aren’t very effective for the terrain, no. The size is good, but the profile is too low (that is to say, the amount of the diameter that is taken up by the tire and not the wheel) for an off-road vehicle. Low-profile tires provide excellent feedback for sports cars and similar road/track cars, but they don’t give a very high-quality ride, meaning that an off-road vehicle using them would be liable to shake itself to bits. Additionally, the groves/knobs on the tires aren’t deep enough, meaning that it would only grip on the surface and, thus, wouldn’t get very good traction off-road, where the driving surfaces can be loose and move about.
If I can have fun watching something I’m sure i’m gonna have fun playing.

Of all the fruit-based puns you could’ve gone with, and you decided instead to go for the vehicular “I may be en’tyre’ly wrong”? Well, at least you’re having fun this time. This game’s a nice change of pace. It’s good, not being shit sometimes. Early Access – take note.
