A Grisly Post-Mortem Of Dead Space (The Jimquisition)

Visceral Games is closed, and Dead Space may be no more. During this spooky Halloween time, let’s look back at the rise and sad fall of a wonderful series.

You can’t spell DEAD without EA, after all.

  1. I loved dead space 1 2 and extraction because both games were really great

  2. Excellent Work Jim, I once again agree with you 100%. EA can go die, not gonna give in to their practices.
And thats why The legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild gets a 10/10 from me baby.

  3. I’d put money on Bioware being next on the chopping block if Anthem ends up being a bust.

  4. Unicronic arts, I can’t think of a better way to put it. Cheers Jim!

  5. Karsten Von Fjellheim

I forget, did someone make a mod so you could play DS in first person?

  6. I never knew all these were paid DLCs. I played the “gamer-friendly” version and everything was already included there for free.

  7. why, why why WHY ! why are they so fucking greedy. dead space didnt deserve this

I’m going to take a trip to EA’s headquarters armed with nothing more than a needle, looking to see if coins start pouring out of the walls after they’ve been poked.

  9. Dead Space’s fate is a perfect argument against the whole “But games are getting more complex and expensive to make.”
We never asked for most of this bullshit. It was tacked on by the companies themselves, you can’t blame the consumer they bought the “innovative new carwashing system” (or whatever) if it was put into their bread.

  10. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

This video is rich, coming from the guy who killed The Slaughtering Grounds.

  11. Faraaz Saiduzzaman

This segment had more horror elements in it than the entirety of Dead Space 3

  12. Dead of dead space was only cosmetic and optional.

  13. I really enjoyed the dead space 2 multiplayer, loved playing as monsters

  14. I am so happy that the Resident Evil series belongs to a Japanese company.
Sure CAPCOM lost its way and is guilty of its own sins (in disc DLC for example.) however I blame bad Western Influence.
Plus RE7 proved that at the end of the day, CAPCOM remembered who they are.

EA however is beyond salvation. They passed that point 15 years ago.

  15. 1:39
For the people that don’t like the cringe

  16. I loved the Dead Space series from day 1 and it was a horrific experience to watch this shit happen to it in real time.
