Hey there! I am a tool-assisted speedrunner, and speedrunner. Splicing in speedrunning, is a huge issuse, obviously, and I love when some gaming communities have rules in place to monitor possible splicing (e.g in Super meat boy with the girl in the corner, or in goldeneye with the curser moving over text). I think all games communities should find ways, when able, to detect splicing. As a TASer, I know just how easy it is to splice. For example, in super mario 64, the number of frames after exiting a level is consistent (usually), and so, a dedicated splicer would know just when and where to cheat. This is where problems arise making it hard to tell is someone is splicing, because both audio and video are silent and completely black.
Kudos to all the splice detecting moderators, and I hope in the future, better methods of speedrunning rules can help eliminate or make splicing harder!

There’s a lot more to the Chibi story. It took a lot to get him to admit it even thought the proof is so solid. The messages Apollo showed are just a miniscule interaction between a huge back and forth of the two.

I really enjoyed your video mostly. but I think it is wrong for you to sweep chibi’s deceit under the carpet while simutaneously making other cheaters seem like the actual spawn of satan.
Don’t get me wrong, you’re allowed to dislike cheaters. Though if you’re going to be biased for whatever reason, that just rubs me the wrong way.

Cheating is never an “honest mistake”. It’s cheating.
Goose admitted within a week to his spliced run and then came back and helped write the new proof policy standards for the elite. In fact he was the one who caught Henning’s frigate 1:00 run, which at that time was an untied record for almost two years.
I find goose to be the most respectable one shown in this video.
